Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an integral part of the CIPD Professional Standards. All CIPD students and those wishing to become members of the Insititute must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to CPD. This book will provide both groups with detailed practical guidance and a theoretical overview. It is the first text to cover CPD specifically for the new CIPD Standards and includes a range of examples and case studies (with commentary) to help you develop your own CPD plan. Various activities are included to help you assess and evaluate progress. For Tutors a range of support materials are available: A tutor support site is available at www.cipd.co.uk/tss which: - links the text to the CIPD CD-ROM given free to CIPD students - links the text to the Raising the Standards document relating to CPD given to tutors - includes OHPs, recommended discussion points, exercises, etc.
